Climate Workshops 2026

Climate Fresk Community Workshop Info:

Do you want to be part of the solution to tackle climate change, but feel like you need some help? Join us for a 3-hour collaborative workshop allows you to understand the key issues of climate change and empowers you to take action. We use a fun ‘Fresk’ card game which has been played by over 2 million people worldwide.

How it works:

  • The workshop is based around a 42-card game. Each card represents an element, a cause, or a consequence of climate change. (Based on the IPCC reports from climate experts around the world).
  • In teams, guided by your facilitator, you are encouraged to find the cause-effect relationship between the different components of climate change. Collective intelligence will get you from one deck of cards to the next!
  • This step-by-step reconstruction provides the keys to understanding the complexity and developing an overview of climate change.

Agenda:

  • Introduction, 15 mins
  • Fresk Card Game, 1 1/2 hours
  • Debrief and exploring actions you can take, 1 1/4 hours

Food and drinks provided. No previous climate knowledge needed. Recommended age 16+. Bring a smartphone, ipad or laptop if you have one. Workshop run by Climate Justice Taranaki. Donations welcome! Kindly supported by Toi Foundation.
